Far Perspective Growth Surrealist painting by Maryse Gauthier 09-2019

Perspective growing with time

I never know what will be my next mental sudden vision and where it comes from.

I'm always fascinated to discover what I will see once I execute the creation of thoses visions.

Apparently, they are well connected with my subconscious making it worth to investigate.

My new mental spark demanded trees growing through eyes.

Bamboo trees are perfect for eye holes, I thought.

Apparently, for bamboo trees to grow, the ground needs to be watered and fertilized where it is every day and it doesn't break through the ground until the fifth year. A perfect symbol of patient persistence.

Moonlight set the mood and I was ready to go.

The final makes a great representation of how my view of what is possible grows through diligent and consistent performing of tasks to reach my goals. I can appreciate results unimaginable at start. This in turn opens my mind to the prospect of greater achievements.

There resides the purpose of trusting the process with an open mind.

The efforts are done daily and unseen by most.

The results, however, are what most will admire, sometimes with envy, ignoring the constant grind executed in the background.

Let me know what this painting evokes for you in the comments!

Maryse Gauthier

Maryse started painting in February 2017 at a Paint Nite event to overcome her fear of painting. After going to two other Paint Nite events and free of her fear of painting, she decided to start doing here own painting projects. She knew that she could now express visually all those images that filled her mind and create freely. She is mostly inspired to create surrealist paintings and is always working to improve her skills. A majority of her creations stem from a combination of her weekly psychoanalysis therapy work, past hallucinations, feelings inexpressible in words but also any current experiences inciting reflections and growth.
